Coffee, A Card and Cuteness With Paper Sweeties

Hey there, blog friends, crafters and coffee lovers!!  If you're like me, you've been making cards and projects for the Spring/Summer Coffee-Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop.  Did you know that Paper Sweeties is a sponsor for this fun hop?  Paper Sweeties always enjoys participating in this special event, and....Paper Sweeties carries lots of ADORABLE coffee-themed stamp sets and coordinating sweet cuts (dies).  Just take a peek at this sweet little card I created using some of their stamps and other products.
My card was created using one double-sided piece of patterned paper.  I used the pink gingham side for my background, and the floral side to cut my coffee cup by using the Keep Calm and Drink Coffee Sweet Cuts.  I used the coordinating Keep Calm and Drink Coffee Stamp Set for the coffee steam and the cute sentiment.  The sentiment was stamped on the medium sized oval from the Oval Scallop Frames Sweet Cuts.  I added some Sugar Sprinkles Sequins, Raspberry Sequins, and some flowers that were stamped using the A Friend Is Stamp Set and cut with the coordinating A Friend Is Sweet Cuts.  Finally, I wrapped some luscious Bubblegum Seam Binding around my card and used it to make a lovely double bow.
There's always lots of great inspiration on the Paper Sweeties Blog, and on each of our Design Team Members' blogs.  You can pick up any of these sweet sets, several ADORABLE coffee-themed sets, along with luscious seam binding, embellishments and more by visiting Paper Sweeties.  Thanks again for stopping by to say hello.

Happy crafting,
Karen

Fun Cards With Really Reasonable Ribbon

Welcome by today, everyone!  It's always nice to have you visit me, and I hope you like what you see today as I share some Really Reasonable Ribbon projects with you.  As its name might suggest, this wonderful shop is filled with a very LARGE variety of ribbons, laces, and trims of all sorts....but that's not where it ends.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries SO much more, including Mulberry Flowers, Embellishments, and SO much more.
So, for today's post, I'm sharing two sweet cards, and each one showcases just a few of my favorite products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This first card was created with an ivory cardstock base and a piece of Carta Bella patterned paper.  I used a second piece of patterned paper to punch a border, and just above it, I added a piece of the beautiful Juliet Natural Crochet Lace.  I added a journalling card and stamped my sentiment on that.  There's a flower sticker at the bottom right of my sentiment card; and at the top left, a beautiful floral treatment that includes a piece of bundled Ivory Burlap String, a 30mm Wild Orchid Crafts Mulberry Leaf, one Coral Open End Rose, and two Ivory Open End Roses.
I also added some Double Head Stamens including a few green, a few Baby Blue Double Head Stamens, and a few Red Double Head Stamens.  These sweet little accents, Wild Orchid Crafts Double Head Stamens are SO amazing; and at just $1.99 for a bundle of 160 pieces, they're a great bargain item that will add quite a lot of impact to your floral accents (as you can see).
My second card is another fairly simple card.  I used several patterned papers that I attached together with strips of Scor-Tape.  I also added some stickers and did some machine stitching in black.  While the card was nice.....it was missing something.  Ribbons!  I made a bow using a piece of Pink Center Stitch Burlap Ribbon and a piece of Brown Center Stitch Burlap Ribbon.  I also added some Baby Pink Double Head Stamens and Black Double Head Stamens, and topped the bow with a Pink Trellis Rose.
What I especially love about the Burlap Center Stitch Ribbons are their AMAZING texture.  They, like ALL of the trims at Really Reasonable Ribbon, add so much warmth and depth to your cards and projects.  Everything you need to make your "Simple Cards" look "Simply Lovely" can be found at Really Reasonable Ribbon!  Thanks again for stopping by today.

Have a great week,
Karen

Paper Sweeties May Release Rewind

Welcome back by my blog again today, everyone!  I'm so happy you've stopped by as I share a bit more from the FABULOUS new May Release from Paper Sweeties.  If you happened to miss my Paper Sweeties projects from either Monday or Tuesday, you can see them by clicking on the links.  Along with my teammates, I've been sharing some fun new projects using the new releases from Paper Sweeties including the Hey Y'all Stamp Set and Treat Box Sweet Cuts.  Both of these amazing new sets are available for purchase now in the Paper Sweeties Shop.
For today's post, I created a sweet card that has a little glassine envelope where I've tucked in a lemonade packet to go along with the ADORABLE sentiment (yup, yet another) from the super sweet Hey Y'all Stamp Set.  I made the little lemon slice myself by cutting the circle with the smallest size Circle Scallop Frames Sweet Cuts and free-handing the rest of the lemon.  I used the sentiment "When Life Gives You Lemons, Put Them in Your Sweet Tea" and stamped it on a banner that was cut using the Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts.  All ten sentiments in the new Hey Y'all Stamp Set are SO super cute.  As a note, you'll see that I placed a glass of iced tea in my photo, and I stuck a Paper Straw in it.  There's also a Cookie Dough Sequin on my card.
Just above the sentiment banner, you will see Madison.  I stamped Madison, and cut her with the Madison Sweet Cut.    Her dress, as well as the flower in her hair, are from the At The Beach Stamp Set.  All the stamp sets found at Paper Sweeties include adorable outfits, sentiments and extras to enhance, and work together with, EVERYTHING found at Paper Sweeties.  It's just a whole lot of sweetness and fun!
Below you will find the list of all my Paper Sweeties friends who have created a special something for you today.  Just click on each of their names to be taken directly to their blogs to see their sweet projects.  We all hope that you will treat yourself to these awesome new sets.  We know you'll love them as much as we do!
Have a blessed day,
Karen

It's May Release Day at Paper Sweeties

Welcome by, friends!  Today is a FABULOUS day because it's Release Day at Paper Sweeties, and that means YOU can now purchase these amazing new sets.  There's an AWESOME new sentiment set called Hey Y'all Stamp Set which includes ten darling sentiments, and there's a super cute new treat box die called Treat Box Sweet Cut.  I used both of these wonderful new sets on my projects for today.  Just look how CUTE they are!
The Treat Box Sweet Cut is a die that, when cut twice, can be folded into this ADORABLE little treat box to hold candies, a gift card, etc.  As you can see, it's easy to decorate, too!  I tied a pretty bow using Bubblegum Seam Binding and Frosting Seam Binding.  This Seam Binding is SO crinkly and luscious...I love it in every color!  I topped the bow with a sweet flower and two leaves that were stamped using the A Friend Is Stamp Set and cut with the coordinating A Friend Is Sweet Cuts.
I also cut a banner using the Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts and stamped the sentiment "Bless Your Heart" using the new Hey Y'all Stamp Set.  I filled this little Treat Box with a candy necklace and some yummy Bubblegum Jelly Bellies.  This new Treat Box Sweet Cut is AWESOME for making special treats to give to someone special.
I also made a matching card using this adorable new Hey Y'all Stamp Set.  This sentiment (Pretty As A Peach) is also one of the ten adorable sentiments found in this new set.  I simply cut and inked some paper strips, and I machine stitched them in place.  Next, I added a length of Blueberry Seam Binding, and I used that along with a piece of Cookie Dough Seam Binding to create a bow.  Along the Seam Binding, I placed a swirly turquoise banner that's cut a banner using the Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts and I used the Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts again to cut the sentiment banner you see.  On that banner, I stamped yet ANOTHER darling sentiment from the new Hey Y'all Stamp Set.  Just above the sentiment banner, you will see my sweet friend, Madison, peeking through.  I stamped Madison, and cut her with the Madison Sweet Cut.  Her little outfit was stamped using the super sweet and "Springy" Live Love Grow Stamp Set....one of SO many cute stamp sets found at Paper Sweeties.  I placed a Cookie Dough Sequin in her hair.
Below you'll find the complete list of all my super talented friends at Paper Sweeties who have prepared something to inspire you today.  Just click on each of their names, and you'll be taken directly to their Paper Sweeties Blog Post for today.  Thanks again for stopping by, and don't forget that as of today, you can purchase these fabulous new sets at Paper Sweeties.

Hi there, everybody!   Happy Month of May - and here we are at the SUPER FUN time of the month when it's time for the Paper Sweeties New Release Party.  Today is Day #1 of 3, and that means there will be LOTS of great inspiration today, tomorrow (Release Day), and also on Wednesday.  For today, it's just a "sneak peek", but as of tomorrow; you can purchase these FABULOUS new sets for yourself.  The first new set I'm showcasing today is a great new sentiment set called "Hey Y'all Stamp Set".
But first.....have you met Abigail?  Or the rest of the "Sweeties".....Jake, Emma, Sophie or Madison?  Well, if you haven't met them yet.....you will most definitely want to; because they're the sweetest, cutest little people (paper doll style stamps) that you'll ever meet; and they're just waiting to meet YOU!  The Paper Sweeties Shop also carries oodles of ADORABLE stamp sets that include outfits for them along with sentiments and cute little extras in each lovely stamp set.  Oh my!  If you're not yet familiar, please do stop by and meet "The Sweeties" and see ALL there is to help you make ADORABLE cards, planners and more.  There's luscious Seam Binding, sweet flower-shaped (cupped) Sequins in more than 21 gorgeous colors, and so many other WONDERFUL products.  This little "Sweetie" is Abigail, so if this is your first time meeting her, I hope you like her as much as I do.  I stamped Abigail in black ink and then cut her using the coordinating Abigail Sweet Cut.  Her cute little pair of overalls was stamped onto patterned paper using the I Pick You Stamp Set as was her cute basket.
I filled the basket with some of Paper Sweeties' ADORABLE flower-shaped Sequins including some Pink Grapefruit Sequins, Blue Raspberry Sequins, Cookie Dough Sequins, and Bubblegum Sequins.  I also stamped two flowers using the A Friend Is Stamp Set and cut them with the coordinating A Friend Is Sweet Cut and placed more of the sweet Sequins on those flowers.  My background was created by cutting two different sizes of rectangles from the Rectangle Scalloped Frames Sweet Cuts.  And finally....I created my sentiment banner using the Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts, and the sentiment (Hey Y'all) is from the ADORABLE new sentiment set from the May Release called Hey Y'all Stamp Set (available tomorrow).

It's Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop Time

Hurray!  It's time once again for the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop, and this month's Ribbon Club Assortment is an AMAZING patriotic collection to help you create some fun red, white and blue projects to celebrate our AWESOME country as we approach the 4th of July.  You should have arrived here by way of Bonnie's Blog; but if not, you can easily get started on the hop.  Just look at this beautiful collection of ribbons!
This hair bow incorporates all but one of the ribbons found in this month's Ribbon Club Assortment including a length of the 3/8" Crosshatch on Red Satin Ribbon, 5/8" Royal Blue Checkerboard Satin Ribbon, 3/8" Patriotic Zig Zag on White Satin Ribbon, 5/8" Delicate Stitched Red Satin Ribbon5/8" Royal Blue Taffeta Ribbon, 3/8" Patriotic Candy Hearts on White Grosgrain Ribbon, 5/8" Checkerboard Red Satin, and 3/8" Royal Blue Crosshatch Satin Ribbon.  The bow is secured on the back with a French Clip.  And just like ALL of Really Reasonable Ribbon's trims, they all work SO well together.
I'd also like to share some cute little barrettes with you that were created using the one ribbon that wasn't incorporated into the bow; and that would be the GORGEOUS 5/8" Red Poppy Print Satin Ribbon, along with some Red Open Roses and White Flatback Pearls in the center of each barrette.  These barrettes are secured with Single Prong Alligator Clips.
The next stop on this Blog Hop is at the blog of my talented teammate, Kathy.  She will most definitely have something extra awesome to share with you all.  And don't forget to stop at each blog to leave a comment, and then finally....answer the question at the end of the hop on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  One lucky person will WIN this month's Ribbon Club Assortment!  We hope that you will check out the Ribbon Club Assortment and ALL of the wonderful products available at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Have a great day!

Thank You with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Welcome by today, everyone, and thanks for stopping by as I share a card I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon showcasing just a few of their MANY lovely trims and embellishments.  This card was put together with several different pieces of patterned paper that I attached using a fabulous Adhesive called Scor-Tape.  It secures your cards together so that they will stand the test of time when their recipients receive them.  I know my Mom likes to display hers, and another friend of mine cuts off the fronts and uses them as bookmarks; so I like using an Adhesive that I absolutely KNOW won't start falling apart like cards tend to do when you don't use a quality Adhesive.  Just sayin'....Really Reasonable Ribbon carries several fabulous Adhesives (for various projects) that will hold your cards and mini albums together so that they'll last.
Once I had my card base together, I did a bit of machine stitching on it....just for fun.  I added a small journalling card with a rub-on sentiment (thank you), and I also added a flower that I die-cut from several sheets of inked vintage dress pattern, and I placed a vintage button in the center of the flower.  I tucked several sweet Double Head Stamens under my flower including some Baby Blue Double Head Stamens, White Double Head Stamens, and Silver Double Head Stamens.  Aren't they pretty?  They come in several beautiful colors, and cost just $1.99 for a bundle of 160 pieces!!
Then, at the bottom of my card, I ran a length of Solid Natural Baker's Twine that I knotted and tied into a bow.  I topped that with a 35mm White & Green Mulberry Leave, one 15mm Ivory Open End Rose, and two 15mm Royal Blue Open End Roses (which, in my personal opinion are far more navy than they are royal, but.....that's just my opinion.  They do match my navy papers nicely, so they work for me!)  One thing is FOR SURE....Really Reasonable Ribbon has all the perfect ribbons, trims, Mulberry Flowers, Adhesives and Embellishments (plus SO much more) for ALL your projects.  I hope you will check out the Really Reasonable Ribbon Shop and treat yourself today!
Thanks for visiting me today.  Have a great week,
Karen
